This presentation will discuss the devastation of the U.S. and global financial markets during the Great Financial Crisis. In particular, it will focus on the efforts of the U.S. Federal
Reserve to provide liquidity banks, broker-dealers and other market participants as traditional sources of funding and liquidity for these institutions completely froze or dried up.
The presentation will highlight the 100s of billions of dollars that were lent to these institutions through a variety of unique and innovative programs. Finally, it will discuss the monetary
and political ramifications of such actions.
