Karpacz, 7th-9th September 2021
Organized for the thirtieth time by the Institute of Eastern Europe Foundation, the Economic Forum is a meeting place for economic and political groups from
Central and Eastern Europe. The first Forum took place in 1992. Each year the discussions concentrate on a different motto. In 2021, it is "Europe in Search of Leadership". In recent years,
meetings were devoted to, among others, issues related to the strategies for building a strong Europe, challenges after the pandemic or regional policy.
According to the organizers, the mission of the Economic Forum is to create a favorable climate for the development of political and economic cooperation in Europe. For years, important
declarations regarding economic policy have been made at the Forum, and the opinions of the participants are quoted by the world media and discussed by experts.
As the significance of the Forum grew, larger and larger companies joined the group of partners, and among the invited guests of honor were presidents, members of the government, outstanding
scientists and business people. The 29th edition of the Economic Forum in 2019 was attended by nearly 4,500 guests from over 60 countries - leaders in political, economic and social life from
Europe, Asia and the United States.
The Forum funds prizes awarded annually in the following categories: Man of the Year, Company of the Year, Non-governmental Organization of the Year, a Special Award and the Award of the Economic
Forum and the Krakow City Council - New Culture of New Europe.
The Wroclaw University of Economics and Business is a partner of this year's Economic Forum in Karpacz.
