Piano concert of Kuba Stankiewicz - an outstanding pianist will play on the restored historic instrument of composer Ludomir Różycki
Jakub Stankiewicz - jazz pianist, composer, doctor habilitatus, Head of the Department of Jazz Music at the Academy of Music in Wrocław. He made his debut in the ensembles of Jan "Ptaszyn" Wróblewski
and Zbigniew Namysłowski. In 1990 he graduated from the Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA in the piano class. He is a laureate of many awards, including the prestigious Oscar Peterson Award, the
Mateusz Award (the award of the Third Program of Polish Radio) and the Fryderyk Award. His original album Northern Song was the album of the 1993 Jazz Forum magazine. In 2013, he released an album
entitled Kilar. He cooperated, among others, with Art Farmer (album Art in Wrocław), Scott Hamilton, Harvie Swartz and Sheila Jordan. He plays with the band "Central European Jazz Connection". In
2018 he performed at Carnegie Hall.
